Colour

For my magazine I am sticking to about 3 colours more than that for a rock magazine would not suit the genre. The three colours i have chosen to suit the rock theme are black white and red.
For my front cover I am going to have the background white and the magazine name and band name black and all the small headlines red, I have decided this as black writing on to of white is really easy to read and if i have all me small headings red it will add a colour to make it look more exciting.
For my contents page its basically the same as the main band name and the "contents" will be black and the   small headings red and the rest of the writing back it will keep the writing east to read ad follow.
For my double page spread with my piece of journalism I am going to do the same with the black writing on a white background as its easy to read and I am going to have all my small headings red to add colour and make them stand out more.

In this front page it has used Black, White and Red just the way I want to it links well to "Rock" as black is a very dark colour and rock is very dark and the red stands for blood which also links well to "rock". You can also see why the act featuring the magazine also link to "rock", this obviously shows that black white and red link to my "rock" genre.

Also on this front cover the colour scheme is black, white and red this links to the cover artist who is in a rock band. This also shows me that this colour scheme will link to rock.

  1. Why not add something visual with these colours on to show how they work and signal the right genre to the audience - could scan part of a rock magazine that shows this colour scheme?
